Dubai Charity Auction Raises AED 83.6 Million For Fathers' Endowment Campaign Healthcare Initiatives

The Most Noble Number charity auction in Dubai has successfully raised AED 83,677,000. This amount will support the Fathers’ Endowment campaign, initiated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The campaign aims to honour fathers by funding healthcare for those in need. The event was held at the Armani Dubai Hotel and featured special numbers from vehicle plates and mobile numbers.

Proceeds from the auction will aid the Fathers’ Endowment campaign's goals of enhancing healthcare in underserved areas. This includes building hospitals, supplying medical equipment, expanding facilities, and upgrading operating theatres. The auction showcased 25 unique numbers: five vehicle plate numbers from RTA, ten du mobile numbers, and ten e& UAE mobile numbers.

Total bids for RTA plate numbers reached AED 75.9 million. Bids for e& UAE mobile numbers totalled AED 4.732 million, while du mobile numbers attracted AED 3.045 million in bids. Business leaders and philanthropists attended the event to support the campaign’s mission of honouring fathers through charitable acts.

Muhammad BinGhatti, Chairman of Binghatti Holding, participated with total bids amounting to AED 44.2 million. Special plate numbers sold included DD 5 for AED 35 million and DD 12 for AED 12.8 million, among others.

e& UAE special mobile numbers were auctioned as follows: number 0500777777 fetched AED 900,000; number 0500999999 sold for AED 740,000; number 0565000000 went for AED 1.6 million; and other notable sales included number 0547700000 at AED 270,000.

du special mobile numbers also saw significant sales: number 0584444444 achieved a bid of AED 1.7 million; number 0584444440 sold for AED 210,000; and number 0584444448 was purchased for AED 250,000.

Ongoing Online Auction

The Most Noble Number online charity auction continues to draw interest. Organised by Abu Dhabi's Integrated Transport Centre under the Department of Municipalities and Transport, it features 444 special plate numbers available via the Emirates Auction app until March 16-17.

This charity auction complements six main channels established to receive donations for the Fathers’ Endowment campaign. Contributions can be made through various platforms including bank transfers to Emirates Islamic Bank or SMS donations via Etisalat by e& and du users.

The initiative strengthens the UAE's leadership in humanitarian efforts while promoting endowments' values of honouring parents and fostering community solidarity.
