Dubai RTA Issues Updates For Metro Red Line And Intercity Bus Routes
Due to the recent unstable weather conditions, Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced several disruptions and adjustments to its transit services on Tuesday evening. Commuters using the Dubai Metro Red Line are facing temporary service disruptions between specific stations, with alternative transportation options being provided to mitigate the inconvenience.
Service Disruptions on Dubai Metro Red Line
RTA has reported that the metro service on the Red Line is currently disrupted between the ONPASSIVE and Equiti stations. Similarly, another disruption is affecting the stretch from ADCB to UAE Exchange stations. These interruptions are directly attributed to the adverse weather conditions impacting the region. To assist passengers affected by these disruptions, RTA has arranged for bus services to cover the routes between the affected stations, ensuring that commuters can continue their journeys with minimal delay.
The service disruptions extend further along the Red Line, from UAE Exchange to Dubai Internet City stations, again due to the unstable weather. In response, RTA has mobilized bus services to connect these stations, providing an alternate mode of transport for metro users.
Suspension of Intercity Bus Services
In addition to the disruptions on the metro line, RTA has also announced the temporary suspension of several Intercity Bus services. These include routes from Dubai to Abu Dhabi, Dubai to Sharjah, and Dubai to Ajman. This measure, prompted by the same weather conditions, will remain in effect until further notice, underscoring the authority's commitment to passenger safety during adverse weather periods.
The RTA team is actively working to resume normal service across all affected transit modes as swiftly as possible. Commuters are advised to stay informed on service updates and avail themselves of the alternative transportation arrangements provided. The authority has expressed its commitment to ensuring the safety and convenience of all passengers during this period of unstable weather conditions.
