Dubai Metro Alert: Timings Revised For Airport Passengers On May 1 And 2
In an effort to enhance the convenience of travelers using Dubai International Airport, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced an extension of Dubai Metro operating hours this week. This modification is specifically scheduled for the early days of May 2024, catering to the needs of passengers during a peak travel period.
On Wednesday and Thursday, May 1 and 2, 2024, the metro service will be available from midnight at 12:00 AM until 5:00 AM the following day. This extended service is designed to provide seamless connectivity for those traveling to and from the airport. Trains will embark on their journeys from the Centrepoint Metro Station, making stops only at selected stations: Emirates Metro Station, Airport Terminal 1 Station, Airport Terminal 3 Station, and GGICO Station.
To ensure a smooth travel experience, passengers are advised to check their Nol cards have a minimum balance of 15 AED before starting their journey. Additionally, for further convenience, taxis will be readily available at both the Centrepoint and GGICO stations. This arrangement allows travelers to reach their final destinations with ease after exiting the metro.
The extended metro hours are part of RTA's commitment to providing efficient and effective public transportation options in Dubai, especially during busy travel times.
