Dubai RTA Update: Operating Stations On Red And Green Lines, Advisory On Road Diversion

In response to the challenging weather conditions anticipated to impact Dubai, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a strategic adjustment to the operations of the Dubai Metro for Wednesday, April 17, 2024. This proactive move aims to maintain the integrity and continuity of metro services across the city.

Currently, the Red Line of the Dubai Metro is operational across several stations. These include Centrepoint Station stretching to GGICO Station, BurJuman Station to World Trade Centre, and Jabal Ali to Expo 2020 Station.

In a recent announcement on X, RTA also informed that Dubai Metro is operating on the Green line in the following stations, from Etisalat by e& station to Abu Hail and from Creek station to Al Ras.

To accommodate passengers affected by the limited service, the RTA has arranged for complimentary bus services at specific stations along both the Red and Green lines. This initiative ensures that commuters can reach their destinations with minimal disruption.

Advisory on Traffic Diversions

In a related development, motorists heading towards Sharjah via Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road are advised of a traffic reroute. The diversion channels traffic through Dubai-Al Ain Road, directing it towards Emirates Road. This adjustment comes as part of the RTA's efforts to manage the flow of traffic efficiently amidst the current weather conditions.
