Dr. Younis Kazim, Acting CEO of the Health Regulation Sector at the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), inaugurated the second Dubai Medical Research Forum at the Grand Hyatt Dubai. This two-day event gathers experts, academics, and policymakers from health and academic sectors. Dr. Kazim emphasised that the Forum enhances Dubai's role as a global hub for healthcare research and innovation.
Dr. Kazim noted that this edition builds on the success of the first forum, highlighting Dubai's dedication to advancing medical research, supporting evidence-based health policy, and promoting ethical practices to improve life quality. He stressed DHA's commitment to integrating research and innovation into health sector development to address future challenges.

Dr. Latifa Al Rostamani, Director of Medical Education and Research at DHA, explained that the Forum operates under the theme "Research Today… Health Tomorrow." It focuses on six main pillars: artificial intelligence, data science, digital transformation, biotech innovations, precision health, clinical research methodology, academic leadership, health policy dialogue, entrepreneurship, and medical innovation.
These pillars reflect emerging priorities in health and innovation. They aim to create a collaborative research network linking academic institutions, regulators, and the health sector both locally and globally. Dr. Al Rostamani added that the Forum supports applied research aligned with real-world patient needs to enhance quality of life.
This year's Forum attracted over 120 researchers and experts along with 50 research posters from various institutions. The scientific committee approved 40 speakers and 30 high-quality research posters after a rigorous review process based on international standards of quality and innovation.
The event underscores Dubai’s commitment to fostering a robust environment for medical research. By aligning outcomes with community needs, it reinforces Dubai’s status as a hub for health sciences while promoting collaboration across sectors to drive advancements in healthcare solutions.
