Dubai Media Council Rolls Out #EidInDubai Campaign To Extend Festive Celebrations

The Dubai Media Council has recently wrapped up its #RamadanInDubai campaign, a month-long celebration that brought together the public and private sectors to honor the Holy Month's spirit. Directed by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the initiative was a testament to Dubai's vibrant community and rich cultural heritage. Following this success, the council is now launching the #EidInDubai campaign to extend the festive spirit, offering both residents and visitors ample opportunities to forge lasting holiday memories.

The #RamadanInDubai campaign was marked by an impressive array of around 6,000 events and activities. These ranged from iftars and fireworks displays to cultural shows, educational workshops, and charitable efforts. The campaign's success hinged on strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, which were instrumental in bringing the vision to life.

Mona Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council, lauded the collective efforts of all partners and participants. She emphasized that the campaign not only delighted residents and visitors but also significantly enhanced Dubai's reputation as a premier destination for exceptional festive experiences. The collaboration between public and private sectors, coupled with active community involvement and a diverse event lineup, were key factors in the campaign's success.

Shaima Al Suwaidi, Director of Brand Dubai, expressed her gratitude towards all partners for their contributions. She highlighted how the #EidInDubai campaign will showcase Dubai's diverse culture and ethos of coexistence, further cementing its status as a top global holiday destination.

Throughout the Holy Month, social media and digital platforms were abuzz with content showcasing Dubai's festive atmosphere. Influencers and content creators produced engaging videos that captured the essence of the celebrations and traditions. The Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO) alone published over 200 pieces of content on its social media accounts. These videos attracted around one million views, demonstrating the widespread community participation and interest.

The official #RamadanInDubai hashtag achieved remarkable traction, receiving 492 million views and being shared by approximately 1,700 accounts across various platforms. This widespread engagement underscored the campaign's broad appeal and impact.

Key contributors to the campaign's success included notable entities such as the Roads and Transport Authority, EMAAR, Dubai Municipality, Majid Al Futtaim Group, and Dubai Police. Their involvement played a crucial role in realizing the ambitious vision behind both campaigns.

As Dubai transitions from celebrating Ramadan to welcoming Eid festivities through the #EidInDubai campaign, it continues to affirm its position as a city that thrives on unity, cultural diversity, and shared joyous experiences. This seamless shift from one celebration to another exemplifies Dubai's dynamic spirit and its ability to bring people together from all walks of life.
