Dubai Logistics Academy Officially Launched To Enhance Logistics Education And Recognise Key Partners

The Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, together with the Free Zone, recently celebrated the inauguration of the Dubai Logistics Academy. This new educational institution aims to enhance professional skills within Dubai Customs. The event featured an award ceremony recognising strategic partners, including logistics firms and Dubai University. Notable attendees included Sultan bin Sulayem, Nasser Al Neyadi, Dr. Abdulla Busenad, and Abdullah bin Zayed Al Falasi.

Bin Sulayem highlighted the logistics sector's importance as a key economic driver that demands skilled professionals for its growth. He stated that the Dubai Logistics Academy will be instrumental in training experts in ports, logistics, and commercial services. This initiative will bolster global trade and reinforce Dubai’s pivotal role in connecting international economies.

Nasser Al Neyadi discussed how the academy aligns with transforming government operations amid digital advancements and AI integration. This evolution necessitates enhancing employee skills to meet the changing demands of global trade, investment, and logistics services.

Dr. Busenad emphasised that the academy will nurture talent through innovative academic and professional approaches for both citizens and residents. Part of Dubai Customs' "33 Path" initiative, it offers specialised curricula and accredited scholarships to support Dubai's Economic Agenda objectives.

Al Falasi praised Dubai Customs for its initiatives, noting the academy's role in supporting Emiratisation by training local talent. He described it as a crucial step in enhancing the logistics sector's professional capabilities. Human development is essential for progress, reinforcing Dubai’s status as a leading global trade hub.
