Scheduled for completion by 2026, the Asan-UAE Gastroenterology Hospital will significantly boost the UAE’s capacity in digestive health, gastrointestinal oncology, liver transplantation management, and lifestyle diseases. The hospital aims to provide advanced healthcare services and education in gastroenterology, enhancing Dubai’s specialised medical offerings and expanding DHCC's service range.

The new facility will cover 21,150 square metres with two basement levels and seven floors. It will feature 65 beds, including royal and VIP rooms, four operating theatres, and comprehensive gastroenterology care for both adults and children. Specialities will include endoscopy, bariatrics, gastrointestinal oncology treatment, liver transplantation management, and gastrointestinal health check-ups.

Issam Galadari stated: "Asan – UAE Gastroenterology Hospital represents an important milestone in the ongoing development of DHCC Phase 2. This partnership contributes significantly to our efforts to build our ecosystem to cater to the evolving demands of the UAE’s health sector." He emphasised that this collaboration aligns with Dubai’s goal of attracting key investments across various sectors.

Moon Byung Jun remarked: "Asan Medical Centre is a leading hospital in Korea. We congratulate them on establishing their first gastroenterology hospital outside Korea in Dubai through collaboration with Scope Investment and DHCA. We look forward to providing top healthcare services to patients not only in the UAE but also across the GCC region and globally."

Najib Fayyad added: "Asan-UAE Gastroenterology Hospital will be a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to providing comprehensive gastroenterological care. This investment underscores our commitment to improving community quality of life through superior medical services and innovative healthcare solutions."

Educational Hub

AMC aims to elevate local healthcare standards by serving as an educational hub in the Middle East. This includes educating local medical professionals and integrating expertise from South Korea by bringing a medical team to join the Asan-UAE Gastroenterology Hospital.

Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi highlighted that Dubai's health sector has seen tremendous developments due to its distinctive investment climate fostering growth in this vital sector. He noted that increasing demand for high-quality health services has transformed Dubai into a major healthcare destination for international hospitals and medical centres.

The new hospital will also offer additional support facilities such as rehabilitation services for related diseases, outpatient clinics, ICU units, and one-day care units. These facilities aim to provide comprehensive care for various gastrointestinal conditions while promoting overall digestive health.

This significant milestone underscores Dubai's ability to continuously upgrade its healthcare infrastructure while attracting top-tier medical professionals. The emirate's commitment to excellence in patient care has played a crucial role in transforming it into a prominent healthcare destination.
