Dubai Land Department Marks Milestone With 1,000,001st Real Estate Transaction

The Dubai Land Department (DLD) recently wrapped up its successful participation in the International Property Show - IPS 2024, a three-day event that attracted 125 exhibitors from both local and international markets. The show served as a crucial platform for the exchange of expertise and the showcasing of the latest projects and investment opportunities within the real estate sector.

At the event, His Excellency Eng. Marwan bin Ghalita, Acting Director General of DLD, recognized Nakheel Community Management (NCM) with the prestigious ‘Platinum’ rating in the classification system for jointly owned properties management companies by the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA). This accolade is a testament to NCM's extensive experience and commitment to maintaining the highest international standards in property management, significantly enhancing service quality and professionalism in the real estate environment.

Additionally, Mr Mohammed Khalifa bin Hammad, Senior Director of the Jointly Owned Properties Management Department at RERA, commended Nakheel and Dubai Community Management (DCM) for being named 2023’s Best Community Management Company at the Global Real Estate Congress. This recognition underscores their outstanding efforts in community management.

The ceremony also honored an investor with transaction number (1,000,001), alongside top real estate brokers, investors, and developers. Awards were presented across various categories, including the highest-ranked national and non-citizen brokers by sales value and top national and non-citizen investors by value in 2023. Special recognition was given to the top female brokers in both national and non-citizen categories for their exceptional performance in 2023.

Dubai Land Department's commitment to fostering a pioneering real estate environment is aligned with the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. These efforts aim to enhance the experiences of brokers and investors, supporting their journey towards excellence.

The IPS 2024 also featured panel discussions, workshops, and presentations on various topics, including affordable housing costs and the impact of rising interest rates on real estate companies. A notable highlight was the "PropTech" competition for emerging real estate firms, showcasing innovative projects that leverage information technology for property development and management. This initiative aims to simplify the property search, purchase, and sale process through advanced technological systems.
