Dubai Judicial Institute Launches Second Future Research Competition To Promote Legal Innovation

The Dubai Judicial Institute has introduced the second 'Future Research Competition'. Submissions are accepted until 31st March, 2025. This initiative underscores the Institute's dedication to fostering innovation in the legal and judicial sectors. It supports the UAE and Dubai's strategic aim of nurturing a knowledge-based economy propelled by technological advancements.

This competition invites researchers and legal experts to contribute in two categories: Books and Scientific Research. Participants can explore topics like Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Space Sciences, Sustainable Development, Green Economy, Startups, and Business Parks. The aim is to encourage pioneering research that aids in developing legislative frameworks compatible with technological innovations, improving transparency and adaptability in the legal system.

Judge Dr. Ebtessam Ali Al Badwawi, Director-General of Dubai Judicial Institute, remarked, "We continuously strive to encourage research that provides innovative and practical solutions across various legal and judicial fields, in line with the emirate’s steady progress and ambitious strategies for anticipating and shaping the future. This transformation into a comprehensive work system is based on clear scientific foundations, guided by the vision of our leadership to enhance Dubai’s readiness and adopt pioneering practices that affirm its position as the most prepared city globally."

Dr. Al Badwawi further explained that this competition is a strategic initiative allowing researchers and legal professionals to advance legal applications across various domains. It significantly boosts the UAE's competitiveness both locally and internationally. The competition is open for submissions from 18th September 2024 until 31st March 2025.

By inviting contributions from diverse specialisations, this initiative aims to shape the future of legal systems within the UAE and beyond. The focus remains on aligning legislative development with advanced technological trends while enhancing flexibility within judicial processes.

The second edition of this competition not only seeks innovative solutions but also aims to solidify Dubai's position as a leader in adopting forward-thinking practices globally.
