Elite Pilots To Compete In Dubai's International RC Aircraft Master Competition

The Emirates Aerosport Federation (EAF) has announced the organization of the fourth edition of the Dubai International Master Competition for RC Aircraft. Scheduled from 1st to 3rd March 2024, this event will take place at Zabeel Park in Dubai, featuring 16 international pilots. This announcement was made during a press conference on Tuesday, highlighting the competition's backing by the Dubai Sports Council along with various sports institutions and authorities within the country.

Yousef Hassan Al Hammadi, Vice President of the Federation and Director of the Competition’s Organising Committee, emphasized the significant local, regional, and international interest garnered by the competition, thanks to the success of its previous editions. The choice of Zabeel Park as the venue aims to boost the event's visibility due to its proximity to key tourist attractions such as the Dubai Frame, the Dubai World Trade Centre, and the Museum of the Future.

Dubai's Top RC Aircraft Competition 2024

Tarek Al Saadi, Head of the Remote Control Aircraft Committee at the Federation and Director of the Competition, shared insights into the selection process for participants. The 16 pilots were chosen based on stringent criteria, including a requirement for each to have won at least two international championships. Nicholas Maxwell from the USA, the champion of the third edition, is confirmed to participate again. Al Saadi also highlighted that this competition is recognized for its high global classification in terms of pilot expertise and skill, along with offering generous financial rewards.

Furthermore, a selection of highly skilled and world-class pilots from the UAE will also compete, supported by necessary external resources. The competition will be overseen by international referee Mohamed Amin Al Zarouni, ensuring a fair and competitive environment for all participants.

This event not only showcases top-tier talent in remote control aircraft piloting but also contributes to enhancing Dubai's reputation as a hub for international sports events. With its strategic location and high-profile participants, the fourth edition of the Dubai International Master Competition for RC Aircraft is poised to be a significant event in the aerosport calendar.
