Dubai International Chamber Launches New Office In Karachi To Strengthen Trade Relations With Pakistan
Dubai International Chamber, part of Dubai Chambers, has opened a new office in Karachi. This move aims to boost trade and investment between Dubai and Pakistan. The office is part of the 'Dubai Global' initiative, which plans to establish 50 such offices worldwide by 2030. This initiative seeks to enhance Dubai's status as a major global business hub by attracting foreign investments and supporting local companies' international expansion.
The Karachi office was inaugurated at a ceremony attended by Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Alremeithi, UAE Consul General in Karachi, along with Pakistani business community representatives. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, highlighted the strategic importance of this new office. He stated, "The inauguration of our new office marks a strategic step that reflects our firm commitment to strengthening the robust economic partnership between Dubai and Pakistan."

The opening of this office coincides with growing business ties between Dubai and Pakistan. In 2024, Dubai's non-oil trade with Pakistan reached AED22.8 billion. From early 2022 to the end of Q3 2025, Pakistani companies registered as active members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce increased by 161%, totalling 33,110. During the first nine months of 2025 alone, 6,850 new Pakistani companies joined the chamber.
The new Karachi office will be crucial in supporting businesses in both regions. It will collaborate closely with the Pakistani business community to strengthen ties with key public and private sector stakeholders while highlighting Dubai's competitive edge as a global business hub.
This office will offer valuable market insights to help Pakistani companies establish themselves in Dubai and use it as a springboard for international growth. Additionally, it will assist Dubai-based companies looking to expand into Pakistan by providing expert advice on the local market.
By identifying commercial opportunities and connecting businesses with reliable local partners, the office aims to ensure smooth market entry and successful expansion for these companies. This support is expected to drive mutual growth and enable Pakistani firms to seize emerging opportunities in Dubai.
The establishment of this representative office underscores a commitment to broadening bilateral cooperation between the business communities of both regions. It aligns with the vision to create new avenues for trade and investment flows.
