Dubai International Chamber Promotes Expansion Opportunities For Local Companies In Africa And Southeast Asia
Dubai International Chamber, part of Dubai Chambers, recently hosted its inaugural 'In Focus' session for 2025. This event aimed to help Dubai-based businesses explore expansion opportunities in Angola, Mozambique, Thailand, and the Philippines. The session attracted 160 participants from the private sector in Dubai, highlighting trade opportunities and discussing business strategies and economic prospects in these markets.
The chamber's 'In Focus' sessions provide detailed insights into promising markets for trade and investment growth. Participants receive tailored advice throughout their expansion journeys. This includes market intelligence, business setup guidance, and advice on establishing a presence and forming joint ventures in target countries.

A presentation during the session highlighted the chamber's efforts to support international expansion for Dubai-based companies. It focused on emerging business opportunities in Angola, Mozambique, Thailand, and the Philippines. This was followed by an interactive panel discussion exploring trade and investment prospects in these countries.
The 'New Horizons' initiative was introduced during the session. It allows Dubai-based companies to participate in tailored trade missions organised by the Dubai International Chamber. These missions target carefully selected international markets and include industry events and pre-arranged business meetings to explore investment opportunities.
Salem Al Shamsi, Vice President of International Relations at Dubai Chambers, stated: "We remain committed to supporting Dubai's business community in expanding into global markets that offer promising trade and investment opportunities. By leveraging Dubai's unique advantages as a gateway for growth and impactful partnerships, the chamber aims to enhance foreign trade with countries around the world and contribute to the growth and diversification of the emirate's economy."
The event showcased key trade opportunities while exploring effective business strategies for each of the four markets. Discussions also covered the current economic landscape and prospects across various industries.
This initiative underscores Dubai International Chamber's dedication to fostering international business relationships. By providing valuable insights into new markets, it helps companies navigate their external expansion effectively.
