Dubai Chamber Facilitates Euromercato's Foray Into European Food Sector

Dubai International Chamber, a key entity under Dubai Chambers, has recently played a pivotal role in facilitating the expansion of UAE-based Euromercato into the European market. This strategic move was significantly bolstered through the chamber's assistance in strengthening Euromercato's partnerships within the European food sector. The collaboration was highlighted during a trade mission to the Anuga Food Fair in Germany, where Euromercato engaged with leading European food producers through more than 30 bilateral business meetings.

The fruitful outcome of this mission was the establishment of five trade agreements for Euromercato with renowned European brands such as Arteolio, Maison Andresy, Pastificio Armando, Pasta Berruto & Arrighi, and Pasta dalla Costa. These agreements are set to enhance the availability of authentic Italian food products in the UAE market. Additionally, Euromercato fortified its existing relationships with several European suppliers, including entering an exclusive distribution agreement with Spanish company Pascual and expanding its retail distribution agreement with Zini for the UAE's hotels, restaurants, and cafés.

He highlighted the chamber's efforts to foster trade and investment partnerships that support Dubai's foreign trade and economic growth, alongside enabling local businesses to venture into international markets.

Mohammed Alshehhi, CEO of Euromercato, shared insights into the UAE's position as a leading global market that attracts international companies. He pointed out the country's thriving tourism sector, luxury hotel and restaurant ecosystem, and rising consumer confidence as key factors driving demand for gourmet food products in Dubai.

Dubai International Chamber continues to support local companies in exploring new business opportunities across 30 priority markets globally. With plans to launch 50 international representative offices by the end of the decade, the chamber is steadfast in its mission to facilitate Dubai-based businesses' expansion into diverse international markets.
