Dubai International Chamber Attracts 207 Companies In 2024, Boosting Foreign Direct Investment
Dubai International Chamber, part of Dubai Chambers, has been instrumental in drawing foreign direct investment (FDI) to the emirate and aiding local companies in expanding into global markets throughout 2024. Their initiatives have bolstered Dubai's economic growth and enhanced trade with key international markets. In 2024, the chamber attracted 207 companies to Dubai, marking a 56% increase from the previous year.
The chamber's efforts resulted in attracting 51 multinational companies (MNCs) in 2024, a rise of 55% compared to the previous year. Additionally, they brought in 156 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), reflecting a 56% increase from 2023. The chamber also facilitated the expansion of 114 local businesses into new international markets, up by 48% from the prior year.

Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of Dubai International Chamber, stated, "The results achieved during 2024 reflect the impact of the chamber’s efforts to enhance Dubai’s appeal among global investors and support the growth of the local business community on the international stage."
In its quest to boost foreign investment, Dubai International Chamber opened two new offices last year in Kazakhstan and Colombia. This expansion increased their total number of international representative offices to 33. These offices play a crucial role in promoting Dubai's opportunities for international investors and supporting MNCs in leveraging Dubai's competitive advantages.
The chamber hosted 182 visiting delegations with over 500 participants last year. It also took part in 127 global events across 78 cities in 50 countries. These activities align with their mission to enhance international cooperation and explore new economic opportunities globally.
Trade Missions and Business Forums
Under its ‘New Horizons’ initiative, the chamber organised trade missions to Indonesia, Vietnam, Senegal, Morocco, Serbia, Türkiye, Uganda, and Tanzania during 2024. These missions facilitated a total of 2,205 bilateral business meetings between Dubai-based companies and their counterparts abroad—an impressive increase of 88% compared to the previous year.
The chamber also launched international editions of the Dubai Business Forum last year. Events like the Dubai Business Forum – China in Beijing and the Dubai Business Forum – UK in London drew a combined total of 1,150 participants. These forums are part of their strategy to attract FDI to Dubai.
Additionally, significant forums were held such as the UAE-China Business Forum attended by Li Qiang; Premier of China's State Council; the Dubai–Chile Business Forum with Gabriel Boric Font; President of Chile; and Vietnam–UAE Business Forum attended by Phạm Minh Chính; Prime Minister of Vietnam.
The chamber's strategic initiatives continue to strengthen its role as a catalyst for economic growth by fostering international partnerships and expanding market reach for businesses based in Dubai.
