The Dubai International Boat Show (DIBS) is currently celebrating its 30th anniversary, marking three decades as the Middle East's premier yachting event. Echo Yachts is offering virtual tours of its 84m White Rabbit super-yacht via Meta Quest 3 headsets, while Feadship’s concept yacht Pure features a futuristic, windowless command centre. These innovations reflect a shift in preferences among younger generations towards more immersive and high-tech maritime experiences.

Environmental sustainability is a key theme at DIBS 2024. Gulf Craft Group is exploring hydrogen propulsion among other eco-friendly technologies. Chairman Mohammed Alshaali notes that transitioning to greener energy sources is a gradual process but emphasizes the minimal environmental impact of their current operations.
