Dubai International Airport (DXB), the world's busiest airport for international travel, is set to resume its normal operations within the next 24 hours, according to Majed Al Joker, Chief Operating Officer of Dubai Airports. This announcement marks a significant step towards the full restoration of the airport's capacity and its regular schedule, following a period of adjustments.
Terminals 1 and 3 at DXB have already started to see a gradual return to normalcy, facilitating smoother movement for passengers and staff alike. Al Joker, in a statement to the Emirates News Agency, emphasized the paramount importance of passenger safety during this transition. He detailed the collective efforts of airport teams, strategic partners, and airlines to expedite the recovery process and offer support to those travellers who were impacted by the disruptions.

Al Joker shed light on the extensive coordination between the airport's response and emergency teams, numerous departments, strategic partners, and airlines. These combined efforts have been crucial in managing both the return to operational normalcy and the assistance provided to affected passengers and guests. He acknowledged the role of various private and government departments, as well as entities both within and external to the airport, in these restoration efforts.
Furthermore, the COO highlighted the ongoing communication with passengers, addressing immediate needs such as refreshments, flight rescheduling, or rebooking. He noted that while most airlines have resumed operations, the situation remains fluid, advising travellers to stay in contact with their airlines for the most current information.
