Dubai Humanitarian Strengthens Global Humanitarian Cooperation At HNPW 2025 Through Digital Transformation
Dubai Humanitarian recently wrapped up its participation at the 2025 Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Week (HNPW) in Geneva. This event highlighted their dedication to improving humanitarian coordination, digital transformation, and sustainable innovation in emergency response. The organisation played a significant role by leading two key sessions and engaging in expert panels that tackled pressing challenges in humanitarian operations.
Giuseppe Saba, CEO and Board Member of Dubai Humanitarian, shared insights on the importance of HNPW. He stated, "HNPW is an invaluable platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and driving meaningful solutions in humanitarian response. This year, we reinforced the critical role of digital transformation in aid logistics, championed the power of local capacity building, and strengthened strategic partnerships that will shape a more effective and sustainable humanitarian ecosystem. We are fully committed to innovate, adapt, and ensure that life-saving aid and relief are impactful and sustainable."

During the event, Dubai Humanitarian led discussions on digital transformation's impact on humanitarian logistics. Virginie Bohl from IMPACCT moderated a session exploring advanced cargo information systems (ACI) and digital customs clearance solutions to boost aid delivery efficiency. The session underscored the significance of digital platforms in warehouse management and stock visualization for better emergency response.
The organisation also highlighted its Humanitarian Logistics Databank's role in mapping items with unified Harmonized System (HS) codes. They reiterated the need for a Global Safety Net to enhance aid delivery through improved logistics coordination.
Saba was a featured speaker at DIHAD's session titled "Humanitarian Diplomacy in a Polarized World: Challenges and Opportunities." He discussed increasing constraints on humanitarian diplomacy and stressed the importance of stronger partnerships with civil society and private sectors to ensure aid reaches those most in need.
He also pointed out rising costs within humanitarian supply chains. Saba urged for cost-effective transit solutions to improve aid delivery efficiency amidst these financial challenges.
