Dubai Set To Host The World's Largest AI Prompt Engineering Competition In 2024
The Museum of the Future in Dubai is set to host the Global Prompt Engineering Championship on 20th-21st May 2024, marking a significant event under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. This championship, recognized as the world's largest AI prompt competition, is poised to draw global attention with its substantial prize pool of up to AED1 million. The Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI), under the supervision of the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), has officially opened registration for participants, signaling a pivotal moment for AI enthusiasts and professionals.
Participants are invited to showcase their skills in creating innovative AI prompts across three distinct categories: Coding, Art, and Literature. This competition highlights the increasing importance of prompt engineering, especially with the rise of generative AI applications like 'ChatGPT' and 'Midjourney'. A rigorous selection process will see 30 finalists, ten from each category, competing for the top honors in Dubai. Their work will be evaluated by a distinguished jury of academics, innovators, and AI experts based on speed, quality, and accuracy.
Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of the DFF, emphasized the championship's role in attracting top AI talent globally and underscored its alignment with Dubai's strategic vision for technology and innovation. He stated, "The Global Prompt Engineering Championship will attract some of the most promising talents in the field of AI from around the world. This international gathering in Dubai serves to highlight the key future skills that will shape the trajectory of AI."
