Dubai To Host The Third Edition Of International Glass Manufacturing Show In April 2026

The International Glass Manufacturing Show (IGMS 2026) is scheduled to take place in Dubai from 13th to 15th April 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This event highlights Dubai's growing status as a key hub for the construction and façade industries, both regionally and globally. It is the largest event of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa, focusing on the entire glass industry value chain.

Dubai's strategic location enhances its role as a global trade hub for high-purity industrial sand, essential for producing clear and architectural glass used in modern projects. The UAE's advanced logistics infrastructure supports swift market access, leveraging abundant raw materials from the Arab world. This positions Dubai as a leading commercial centre for the glass sector.

The regional glass industry is experiencing significant growth due to urban expansion, real estate developments, and demand for sustainable construction solutions. Governments are prioritising green buildings and environmental standards, boosting demand for energy-efficient, insulated glass. This trend aligns with IGMS 2026's focus on innovative processing and finishing technologies.

IGMS 2026 will host over 150 international companies and attract around 17,000 visitors, including professionals and decision-makers worldwide. The exhibition offers a strategic opportunity to forge new partnerships and strengthen commercial presence in emerging African and Asian markets. It serves as a platform for networking among manufacturers, suppliers, developers, engineers, architects, investors, government entities, and key operators of major construction projects.

The UAE's silica sand market is expanding rapidly due to rising demand from construction and glass manufacturing industries. Current estimates indicate an annual growth rate exceeding 5%. In 2025, the packaging glass market surpassed 336 kilotons. By 2027, the glass curtain wall market is expected to reach AED1.8 billion.

The flat glass market in the Middle East and Africa was valued at US$8.5 billion in 2023. It is projected to grow to approximately US$15 billion by 2031. Additionally, the GCC silica sand market was valued at US$426 million in 2024 with projections estimating growth to US$776.5 million by 2033 at a CAGR of 6.55%.

Comprehensive Event Agenda

The event will feature diverse activities such as an industry conference on digital era glass manufacturing, panel discussions, an awards ceremony for innovations in the sector, and business-to-business meetings connecting manufacturers with potential buyers. These activities aim to foster collaboration and innovation within the industry.

A key highlight of IGMS 2026 is the Regional National Programme under the industrial integration initiative between the UAE, Jordan, Egypt, and Bahrain. This programme offers exclusive benefits to participating countries to support their promotion efforts within the global glass industry.

IGMS 2026 arrives at a crucial time for companies looking to expand within the region. It provides a specialised platform that underscores Dubai’s reputation as a regional hub for advanced construction industries while offering opportunities for growth in emerging markets.
