Dubai Hosts Historic Gathering Of 12 Nobel Peace Prize Laureates At Global Justice Summit
The Global Justice, Love & Peace summit began at Expo City Dubai, gathering 12 Nobel Peace Prize laureates, royals, state leaders, and influential figures. This two-day event aims to promote global justice, love, and peace. On the second day, Dubai will host a historic session featuring these laureates discussing a new world order based on non-violence and universal justice.
Dr Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, a prominent UAE parliamentarian, inaugurated the summit. He is known for his role in the UAE Federal National Council and as Chairman of the Defence Affairs, Interior & Foreign Affairs Committee. The summit's organisers aim to shift from a competitive world to one focused on collaboration and fairness.

Lech Wałęsa, former Polish President and Nobel laureate, emphasised the need for a new global framework integrating freedom and human rights. "There is a need for a new world order founded on peace, justice, and shared human values," he stated. Wałęsa envisions reforming international governance to ensure peace.
Abdessattar Ben Moussa urged leaders to address social justice issues like poverty and unemployment. He believes sustainable peace requires economic development and equitable resource distribution. "Leaders should strive and invest in education to promote the value of tolerance," Ben Moussa added.
Ameenah Gurib-Fakim highlighted how some economies thrive through peaceful cultures rather than war economies. "Without peace, there is no stability and certainly no prosperity," she noted. Gurib-Fakim will moderate a session on sustainability inspired by love for the planet during the summit's first day.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan serves as the event's patron and Chief Guest. His keynote address is scheduled for the second day. The summit aims to foster dialogue among diverse leaders to visualise a shift towards non-violence and justice.
Summit Concludes with Peace Charter
The event will conclude with a "Peace Charter: Love Letter to Humanity." This document outlines principles of justice, equality, dialogue, cooperation, education empowerment, freedom, leadership, and responsibility. It serves as a guide for fostering global peace.
Among those attending are Jose Manuel Ramos Horta from East Timor; Dr Habil Khorakiwala of Wockhardt Group; Dr Khalid Al Ghanim Al Ghaith from UAE's Human Fraternity Committee; Dr Khalifa Al Dhaheri of MBZ University; Ekaterina Zagladina of the World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates; Mohamed Abd-Salam from Religions for Peace; among others.
