Dubai To Host Sport Integrity Forum As SIGA Launches Its Asian Chapter On November 12

The Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA) is expanding its reach with the introduction of SIGA ASIA. This initiative will be highlighted by the Sport Integrity Forum ASIA – Dubai Chapter, scheduled for 12th November in Dubai. The event is part of Sport Integrity Action Month and represents a significant step in SIGA's global growth strategy.

ISEZA – International Sports & Entertainment Zone will host the forum, with support from the Dubai Sports Council. The event aims to gather key figures from various sectors, including sports, government, business, academia, media, and civil society. They will discuss critical issues related to integrity and governance in global sports, particularly focusing on Asia.

The forum will feature four panel discussions under the theme "A New Chapter for Integrity in Asian Sport." One of these panels, titled "Sport Integrity 2030: A Vision with Future, for the Future," will delve into governance, innovation, and technology to protect sport integrity. This discussion aims to explore future strategies for maintaining ethical standards in sports.

Another panel titled "Playing for the Planet: Sport at the Heart of Sustainability & Social Impact" will address how sports can promote environmental responsibility. It will also focus on gender equity and inclusion within the sporting world. These discussions aim to highlight sport's role in fostering social change.

The panel "Beyond the Logo: Brands Driving Sport Integrity" will examine how sponsors, broadcasters, and partners can ensure transparency and accountability. This session aims to underline the importance of ethical practices among those who support sports financially.

Athletes' roles in promoting integrity will be highlighted in the "SIGA Champions: Athletes Leading the Way for Sport Integrity" panel. This discussion will showcase athletes as leaders advocating for ethical conduct within their fields.

This event follows SIGA's announcement earlier this year about its plans to expand into Asia during the Summit on Female Leadership in Sport – Dubai Edition. The upcoming forum marks a historic milestone as SIGA formalises its partnership with ISEZA through a Memorandum of Understanding. This agreement establishes SIGA ASIA – Chapter Dubai, enhancing Dubai’s reputation as a leader in sports governance.

The collaboration between SIGA and ISEZA signifies a commitment to advancing sports integrity across Asia. By bringing together diverse stakeholders, this initiative seeks to foster dialogue and develop solutions for pressing challenges facing global sports today.
