Dubai Healthcare City Authority Unveils AED 1.3 Billion Development Plan For Enhanced Healthcare Infrastructure

Dubai Healthcare City Authority (DHCA) has unveiled a development plan worth AED1.3 billion for Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) Phase 1. This initiative aims to strengthen DHCC's appeal as a global healthcare investment hub. The initial phase includes launching a LEED platinum-certified office building, a specialised medical complex, and essential infrastructure to support ecosystem growth and future-ready facilities.

The LEED platinum-certified office building is the first of its kind in DHCC. Designed by P&T Architects and Engineers Ltd., it spans 13,000 square metres with three basement levels and nine floors. It offers flexible office units and ground-floor commercial spaces, setting a new benchmark for sustainable urban development with top international certification.

The purpose-built medical complex is another key project in this plan. Designed by Design and Architecture Bureau (DAR), it covers 5,800 square metres with two basement levels and five floors. It features adaptable spaces for surgical facilities, laboratories, diagnostics, outpatient services, medical offices, and support services.

Issam Galadari, CEO of DHCA, stated: "Our upcoming development plan, starting with these flagship projects, reflects our commitment to contribute to the advancement of Dubai’s healthcare infrastructure. By creating an ecosystem that attracts investments, including FDI, and fosters innovation, while integrating sustainability with world-class design, we are aligning with the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, and the UAE Net Zero Strategy 2050."

To improve community access and complement these projects, DHCA is introducing multi-storey car parks equipped with electric vehicle charging stations. These car parks will feature Salik-integrated smart parking systems and full accessibility features to enhance convenience for users.

Allae Almanini, COO at DHCA, emphasised: "Our priority is to deliver infrastructure that enables growth and creates confidence for healthcare providers and investors. These projects will enhance accessibility, sustainability, and efficiency across the community."

The construction of these projects is set to commence in December 2025. The completion is expected by November 2027. This timeline ensures that DHCC remains a leading destination for healthcare investment in the region.
