Dubai Health Research Conference 2024 Unites Healthcare Professionals To Advance Research And Collaboration

Dubai Health recently organised the first Dubai Health Research Conference 2024, drawing nearly 700 participants, including doctors, scientists, and healthcare professionals. The event took place at the Mohammed bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) over three days. This conference highlights Dubai Health's dedication to promoting evidence-based research and improving healthcare standards.

Professor Alawi Alsheikh-Ali, Deputy CEO and Chief Academic Officer of Dubai Health, as well as Provost of MBRU, stated, "The Dubai Health Research Conference reflects the commitment of Dubai Health to foster a culture of discovery and prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals in Dubai. The conference was an effective platform to enhance collaboration and team science within Dubai Health and identify opportunities for future growth in our research enterprise."

Dubai Health Hosts Research Conference 2024

The event featured notable speakers who shared insights on global healthcare trends. Dr. Agni Orfanoudaki from the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School discussed AI's role in patient management. Meanwhile, Dr. Patricia Maes from MIT Media Lab explored how AI and wearable tech are revolutionising health and wellbeing.

Dr Hamda Hassan Khansaheb, Director of Research Administration and Support at MBRU, highlighted the significance of research-driven discovery and knowledge exchange among healthcare experts. She expressed gratitude to those who presented their work, noting that their contributions sparked innovative thinking and collaborations aimed at enhancing healthcare outcomes.

The conference concluded with an awards ceremony recognising 12 Dubai Health team members for their outstanding poster and oral presentations. Additionally, MBRU faculty members were honoured for being included in Stanford University's 2024 list of the World’s Top 2% of Scientists.
