Dubai Health Boosts Healthcare With New Emirati Nurses Cohort
Dubai Health has recently announced the induction of a new group of Emirati nurses, a move that underscores its commitment to enhancing healthcare services and promoting local talent within the sector. This addition is part of Dubai Health's strategy to strengthen its position as the first integrated academic health system in Dubai. The newly graduated nurses, all holding a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the College of Health Sciences at the University of Sharjah, have been distributed across four key locations: Al Jalila Children’s Hospital, Rashid Hospital, Hatta Hospital, and Latifa Hospital.
Dr. Amer Sharif, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Health, expressed pride in integrating local talent into the frontline workforce. He highlighted the unique perspectives and knowledge the new cohort of Emirati nurses brings to the healthcare system, aiming to elevate care standards and advance health for humanity. Khalifa Baqer, Chief Operating Officer at Dubai Health, also remarked on the significance of their arrival, emphasizing their passion for healthcare and the positive impact they are expected to have on service delivery and patient care.

Dubai Health is home to 4,300 dedicated nurses who play a pivotal role in advancing health through their commitment and expertise. The organization supports these professionals with mentorship and development programs designed to foster nursing leadership and encourage innovation in healthcare practices. In collaboration with the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU), Dubai Health offers specialized master’s programs in Cardiovascular Nursing and Pediatric Nursing. These programs are tailored to meet local healthcare needs, equipping nurses with advanced skills for optimal patient care and contributing to the future of nursing and healthcare quality improvement.
