Dubai Health Initiates Community Majalis To Foster Engagement And Improve Patient Experience
Dubai Health has introduced the Community Majalis initiative, aligning with the UAE's 'Year of Community' theme for 2025. This programme aims to facilitate direct dialogue between residents and Dubai Health teams through organised gatherings in local neighbourhoods. The initiative encourages community members to share their feedback, concerns, and suggestions, empowering them to actively shape the future of healthcare services provided by Dubai Health.
The inaugural Community Majalis took place in Jumeirah on Wednesday, April 23. These sessions will continue monthly across various Dubai neighbourhoods, ensuring ongoing engagement with diverse communities throughout the city. This approach allows for sustained interaction and feedback collection from different segments of the population.

Dr. Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health, emphasised the importance of this initiative: "The Community Majalis embodies our dedication to the leadership's vision of promoting open communication with the community. By meeting residents in their neighborhoods and listening to their feedback, we encourage them to share their experiences with the health services they receive, fostering trust and transparency. This aligns with the objectives of Dubai's Social Agenda 33, which aims to create a more efficient and sustainable healthcare system."
This initiative is part of a broader plan to involve patients and customers in developing healthcare services. It includes introducing the globally recognised 'Press Ganey' program. This program measures patient experience through surveys tailored to each treatment journey. The data collected supports strategic plans aimed at improving service quality and increasing patient satisfaction.
Feedback from these community sessions will guide actionable improvements in Dubai Health’s services. By incorporating residents' voices and experiences, the organisation ensures that its offerings are aligned with public needs and expectations.
The Community Majalis initiative reflects a commitment to fostering trust and transparency within healthcare services in Dubai. It empowers residents by involving them directly in discussions about their healthcare experiences and needs.
