Dubai Health Advances: Hamdan Bin Mohammed Reviews Major Achievements And Ongoing Initiatives
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has underlined that health is central to Dubai’s social prosperity, during a visit to Dubai Health headquarters. Sheikh Hamdan reviewed how the integrated academic health system combines treatment, research, education, and philanthropy to enhance healthcare quality and support long-term community wellbeing.
During the visit, Sheikh Hamdan expressed appreciation for the work of Dubai Health professionals and administrative teams. Sheikh Hamdan highlighted their commitment to patients and families, and reaffirmed the aspiration for Dubai Health to grow into the world’s leading academic health system, recognised for high standards and science-based healthcare services.
Sheikh Hamdan explained that Dubai Health, as an integrated academic health system, aligns with Dubai Social Agenda 33. The organisation focuses on high-quality healthcare that is driven by research and innovation. Its preventive and curative programmes are designed to meet international benchmarks while also responding to the specific needs of Dubai residents.
H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, and H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum accompanied Sheikh Hamdan during the tour. The senior officials reviewed projects that seek to link clinical services, teaching, and discovery, reflecting Dubai Health’s role within the wider national healthcare system.

The delegation also inspected the Health Operations Centre, where teams monitor community-based and digital health programmes. Sheikh Hamdan was briefed on current initiatives that use technology and data to improve service delivery, support clinical decisions, and coordinate care pathways across different facilities within the Dubai Health network.
Among the initiatives presented was the Reaya Initiative, which offers tailored healthcare services for senior citizens and people of determination. Sheikh Hamdan also reviewed the Patient Journey Redesign Programme, which seeks to improve access to care, maintain high quality standards, and expand both home-based services and telemedicine options.
The visit highlighted how Dubai Health integrates clinical care, education, and research within one academic health system.
