Dubai's General Network For Government Communication Promotes Emirate's Global Vision Through Collaboration

The General Network for Government Communication (GNGC) recently convened its quarterly meeting at the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) in Dubai. The gathering aimed to strengthen strategic integration among Dubai’s government bodies, enhancing the emirate's achievements and communicating its ambitious vision globally.

Sultan bin Sulayem, Chairman of PCFC, highlighted the crucial role of government communication in promoting Dubai’s successes. He stated: "Government communication plays a fundamental role in showcasing Dubai’s achievements and solidifying its status as a leading global destination. At the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation, we are dedicated to collaborating with the government entities to achieve the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33). Through integrated, innovative, and sustainable solutions in the trade and logistics sectors, we strive to enhance Dubai’s reputation and foster strategic partnerships both locally and internationally."

Dubai Government Communication Highlights Global Vision

Sabah Salem Al Shamsi welcomed attendees to the newly inaugurated PCFC headquarters. He remarked on Port Rashid's significance as a symbol of Dubai's transformation into a global business hub. Al Shamsi noted that government communication in Dubai is an integrated framework designed to promote ambitious plans and engage communities in shaping the emirate's future.

The meeting featured presentations from various government entities. Hind Shaker from PCFC discussed their strategic approach to developing institutional identity and unifying messaging for enhanced visibility locally and internationally. Initiatives were showcased that have strengthened internal and external communication, furthering Dubai’s strategic trade objectives.

Hessa Al Hashmi from the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority presented their updated brand identity titled "Back to Beginnings, with New Horizons." This refreshed identity aligns with Dubai’s position as a global aviation hub while honouring its legacy in aviation.

Upcoming Global Events

Fatima Alawi from Expo City Dubai shared details about hosting the Asia-Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors’ Forum 2025. Scheduled for 27-29 October 2025 at Dubai Expo City, this event will be held for the first time in the Middle East. It aims to bring together city leaders, urban planners, and policymakers to discuss smart city futures and explore opportunities for collaboration.

The meeting concluded with participants emphasising collaboration among Dubai’s government entities for cohesive messaging. They stressed storytelling's power in highlighting achievements and building Dubai's reputation as a global leader.
