Dubai Future Academy Introduces FEEL: Cultivating Next-Gen Foresight Leaders
Dubai Future Academy, part of the Dubai Future Foundation, has introduced "FEEL: A Disruptive Futures Programme." This initiative is the first of its kind in the region and aims to develop future foresight leaders across various sectors. The programme enhances intellectual and experiential capacities through expert lectures, practical applications of future technologies, and advanced projects.
The programme delves into future studies on sustainable development and longevity. This reinforces Dubai's position as a global hub for exceptional talent. Participants will gain insights into promising innovations worldwide, such as glass that can store information for 10,000 years and 'liquid tree' technology that absorbs carbon dioxide and produces oxygen.
Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, highlighted that "FEEL: A Disruptive Futures Programme" is open to participants from diverse fields. He stated that the programme equips individuals with the latest tools in future foresight, leadership, and innovation. It aligns with Dubai's strategy to enhance readiness for the future by exploring opportunities and supporting sustainability.
Participants will engage in hands-on experiences with exclusive field trips to Dubai's innovation hubs and labs. They will learn about cutting-edge developments like the 'WakeCap' workforce safety solution, rocket engines designed using transformative algorithms, and lab-grown food. These experiences aim to provide practical knowledge of future-oriented strategies.
The four-week global training programme is aligned with Dubai's strategy to prepare individuals for future leadership roles. It equips them with skills to seize opportunities and adopt a forward-thinking mindset. Participants will develop practical strategies starting from Dubai, known as the global capital of future foresight, design, and implementation.
Expert-Led Training
The programme will be delivered by top global experts in foresight and future thinking. Renowned leaders from institutions like MIT, Yale, and Stanford will conduct sessions. Professors include Fadel Adib, winner of the "Great Arab Minds Award," Professor Paul Saffo, Dr. Michael Shermer, Dr. Steven Novella, and Dr. Danielle Belardo.
This international initiative targets mid-to-senior-level executives, entrepreneurs, thought leaders, policymakers, government officials, and specialists in fields related to future design. The goal is to develop visionary leaders equipped with essential tools in futures thinking, critical thinking skills, leadership abilities, and longevity awareness.
