Dubai Foundation For Women And Children Celebrates World Mental Health Day With Interactive Game Event

The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) is organising a special event to mark World Mental Health Day, observed every year on 10th October. The event, featuring the "Do You Know Me?" game, aims to boost awareness and understanding of mental health as a universal right. Scheduled for 9th October at Zayed University, it invites participants to strengthen their relationships through engaging activities.

Participants in the "Do You Know Me?" game will explore each other's personalities by asking questions about interests, experiences, and aspirations. This interactive approach encourages deeper connections among family and friends. The Foundation's goal is to create a positive atmosphere where people can learn more about one another while having fun.

DFWAC Hosts World Mental Health Day Event

Sheikha Saeed Al Mansouri, Acting Director-General of DFWAC, stated that the event aims to enhance communication between individuals. She said, "This event is designed to foster effective communication between individuals, as building positive relationships plays a key role in promoting mental health and social stability. Interactive games like 'Do You Know Me,' developed by the Foundation, are a powerful tool in achieving this goal."

The event aligns with DFWAC’s dedication to activities that engage families and children. These initiatives aim to improve psychological awareness and social well-being through workshops, seminars, storytelling sessions, and other interactive events. The focus is on empowering families to raise children who are psychologically and socially healthy.

DFWAC's efforts are part of the Dubai Social Agenda 33. This agenda prioritises strengthening family bonds and creating supportive environments. It also promotes national values while aiming for world-class healthcare standards. The agenda seeks happier, more cohesive families that uphold tolerance.

Promoting Healthy Lifestyles

The Foundation's initiatives also target healthier lifestyles by improving healthcare services quality. This includes preventive care at affordable costs. Through these events, DFWAC equips students with essential future skills and capabilities.

At the event, a platform will be set up for the "Do You Know Me" game at Zayed University. Copies of the game will be given to female students to encourage them to play with their families. This distribution aims to expand the game's reach and maximise its impact on achieving its objectives.

DFWAC continues its mission of fostering social connections through engaging activities that promote mental health awareness and family unity. By focusing on these areas, they contribute significantly towards building a healthier society in line with international standards.
