Dubai Financial Audit Authority Rolls Out Second Edition Of Government Auditor Diploma

The Financial Audit Authority in Dubai, in collaboration with the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government, has recently unveiled the second edition of the "Professional Diploma - The Government Auditor" programme. This initiative sees the participation of 26 individuals from 16 different government entities, all aiming to enhance their auditing expertise. This programme aligns with the Financial Audit Authority's objectives to audit public funds while fostering accountability, transparency, and integrity within the sector.

Abdulrahman Al Hareb, Director-General of the Financial Audit Authority, expressed his views at the launch ceremony. He highlighted the programme's alignment with Dubai's commitment to strengthening its financial auditing framework. Al Hareb emphasized the success of the programme's first edition in equipping graduates with vital auditing skills and announced the continuation of efforts to develop a proficient auditing workforce. This initiative reflects the leadership's directives and the Authority’s goal to ensure accountability and transparency, crucial for protecting public funds.

Dubai Launches Auditor Diploma 2nd Edition

Dr. Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government, shared insights into the programme's objectives. He stated that the "Professional Diploma - Government Auditor" programme aims to prepare government employees for future challenges and enhance their capabilities in various areas. Dr. Al Marri underscored the commitment of Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government to investing in national talent and supporting programmes that contribute to strengthening the UAE’s leadership in government and public services.

The programme is meticulously designed to boost auditors' capabilities across Dubai’s government by providing them with essential skills for conducting audit work according to supreme audit institutions and internal audit units' best practices. It also offers an invaluable opportunity for participants to interact with experienced professionals and specialists, gaining practical experience and insights in auditing. The curriculum is structured into three phases: academic training, practical training, and an optional phase for preparing for professional certifications.

This initiative not only aims at enhancing the professional skills of government auditors but also at ensuring that Dubai’s public sector continues to operate with high standards of accountability and transparency. Through such educational programmes, Dubai reaffirms its commitment to maintaining robust financial governance and safeguarding public resources.
