Dubai Finance And Dubai Chamber Of Digital Economy Join Forces To Advance Cashless Strategy

The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy and Dubai Finance have formalised a partnership to enhance the Dubai Cashless Strategy. This collaboration aims to boost governance, innovation, and the shift towards a cashless society. The agreement was signed by key figures from both organisations, including Abdulrahman Saleh Al Saleh and Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) highlights several areas of cooperation. It includes sharing knowledge and experiences in cashless transformation within the financial sector. Both parties will also exchange relevant data and analysis while monitoring cashless initiatives' outcomes. This collaboration aims to leverage fintech solutions to support the transition to a cashless society.

Collaboration to Boost Dubai's Cashless Strategy

Joint efforts will focus on launching awareness campaigns and capacity-building initiatives. These initiatives aim to increase trust in digital solutions and develop local talent in business sectors. Specialised working groups will be formed to support innovation and cashless transformation, aiming to create initiatives that accelerate this shift.

The scope of cooperation extends to promoting digital payment benefits and encouraging government agencies to use available applications and systems. Training and education efforts will be enhanced to better understand digital payment tools. Joint projects will focus on awareness, effective programme delivery, and sustainable development.

Al Saleh remarked, "This MoU with the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy represents an important step towards unifying efforts and strengthening partnerships among government entities to achieve the objectives of the Dubai Cashless Strategy."

Lootah expressed commitment by saying, "We are committed to actively supporting the implementation of the Dubai Cashless Strategy by advancing the digital economy ecosystem and strengthening the competitiveness of Dubai’s fintech sector. This aligns with our ongoing efforts to accelerate digital transformation across all business sectors, particularly financial services."
