Dubai Chambers Hosts First-Ever Dubai-Estonia Business Seminar To Enhance Trade And Investment Ties
The inaugural Dubai–Estonia Business Seminar, hosted by Dubai Chambers with the Government of Estonia and the UAE–Estonia Business Council, aimed to strengthen trade and innovation ties between the two tech-savvy nations. Held at Dubai Chambers' headquarters, it attracted key figures like Liisa-Ly Pakosta, Estonia's Minister of Justice and Digital Affairs, and Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers.
Participants explored collaboration opportunities across sectors such as advanced technologies, digital economy, renewable energy, automotive industry, agritech, construction, logistics, and maritime industry. The seminar focused on enhancing trade relations and leveraging mutual expertise for impactful partnerships. Discussions highlighted the potential for cooperation between companies from both regions.

Liisa-Ly Pakosta emphasised the importance of collaboration in digital progress: "The Dubai–Estonia Forum reflects a shared understanding that digital progress is not built in isolation but through collaboration and trust. The UAE’s determination to embed innovation across every sector mirrors Estonia’s own belief that technology is a means to strengthen economies and improve people’s lives." She praised the UAE's ambition and noted Estonian companies' efforts to contribute to this vision.
Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah highlighted Dubai's appeal for Estonian businesses: "The strong and growing relationship between Dubai and Estonia creates a solid foundation for advancing our shared economic goals. We remain committed to enhancing bilateral partnerships across key sectors." He pointed out Dubai's strategic location, infrastructure, and business-friendly environment as ideal for Estonian companies seeking expansion.
Bilateral trade between Dubai and Estonia has shown consistent growth. In 2024, non-oil trade value increased by 10% to AED542.3 million from AED494.5 million in 2023. This growth underscores the strengthening economic ties between the two regions. Additionally, the number of Estonian companies registered with Dubai Chamber of Commerce rose by 37% year-on-year in 2024.
By June 2025, 15 new Estonian companies joined the chamber during H1 2025, bringing the total number of Estonian member companies to 95. This increase reflects a growing interest from Estonian businesses in exploring opportunities within Dubai's dynamic market.
