Dubai's Economic Security Centre Launches National Campaign To Combat Economic Fraud Threats
The Economic Security Centre of Dubai (ESCD) has initiated a national campaign to tackle economic fraud, titled "Strong Economy... An Aware Society". This effort seeks to equip individuals, businesses, and institutions with the necessary knowledge and tools to combat the growing threat of economic fraud in today's digital age.
As fraudulent methods become more advanced with the use of artificial intelligence and deepfake technology, public awareness is crucial. The campaign highlights how informed citizens can protect the UAE's economic achievements and maintain global trust in Dubai's business environment.

The initiative focuses on various fraudulent practices targeting individuals and companies. These include misleading advertisements, deepfake manipulation, risks in online transactions, bank card information theft through fake links, phishing attacks via email and SMS, unrealistic investment schemes, cryptocurrency market manipulation, and deceptive business deals.
Faisal bin Sulaitin, CEO of ESCD, stressed the need for collective action. He stated that economic fraud has evolved beyond traditional methods and now uses advanced technologies to deceive even cautious individuals and organisations.
Bin Sulaitin further explained that ESCD is committed to leading this fight by equipping citizens, residents, and businesses with essential knowledge and tools. He emphasised that protecting the economy is a shared national duty. Staying informed and united is crucial for maintaining a robust and sustainable economy.
The ESCD encourages community involvement in the campaign by sharing awareness messages and personal experiences using hashtags #StayAware and #TogetherWeProtectOurEconomy. This initiative reaffirms Dubai's reputation as a secure financial hub where informed citizens support sustained economic growth.
