Dubai Derma 2024 Achieves AED 2.4 Billion In Deals, Boosts UAE's Medical Hub Status
The 23rd edition of the Dubai World Dermatology and Laser Conference and Exhibition, known as Dubai Derma 2024, concluded today, marking a significant milestone as the largest global event in the dermatology and cosmetic procedures sector. The event witnessed transactions totaling AED2.4 billion over three days, reinforcing the UAE's status as a leading destination for medical and cosmetic treatment. The combination of high-quality healthcare, minimal waiting periods, and competitive pricing has positioned the UAE as an attractive location for international patients.
This year's Dubai Derma not only highlighted Dubai's pivotal role in hosting medical gatherings but also showcased the latest advancements in dermatology and cosmetic medicine, including artificial intelligence applications. Dr. Hassan Galadari, Head of the Scientific Committee for Dubai Derma, emphasized the introduction of new scientific topics and modern devices at the conference. A notable highlight was the exclusive launch of a skin renewal device recently unveiled in the United States.

Dr. Galadari also pointed out the current beauty trends focusing on natural appearance enhancement and discussed new technologies supporting this trend. The conference addressed treatments for challenging conditions like vitiligo and psoriasis, aiming to improve both physical health and mental well-being of patients with minimal risk.
Dubai Derma provided a comprehensive scientific experience for medical graduates and students, including a scientific competition and surgical workshops. The event also spotlighted innovative treatments such as exosomes for hair thinning and loss, offering an alternative to traditional plasma therapy.
Amb. Dr. Abdulsalam AlMadani, PAM Roving Ambassador for the GCC Region and Executive Chairman of Dubai Derma, highlighted the event's contribution to the national and global economy with this year's commercial deals reaching 2.4 billion dirhams. The conference aimed to attract global companies to enhance visitor experiences through diverse products and advanced technologies.
The final day of Dubai Derma 2024 covered various topics including artificial intelligence in dermatology, diagnostic and treatment approaches for specific skin conditions, and workshops on new treatment methods for vitiligo. Over 25,000 visitors from 112 countries attended this year's event, making it the largest dermatology event in the Middle East, North Africa, and the Indian subcontinent. South Korea was among the participating countries showcasing its latest dermatology and skincare products.
