Dubai Customs Successfully Intercepts 147.4 Kg Of Narcotics In Major Smuggling Operation
Dubai Customs has successfully intercepted a significant smuggling attempt, seizing 147.4 kilogrammes of narcotics and psychotropic substances at a key seaport. This operation highlights their dedication to national security and combating international crime. The interception was achieved through the expertise of Dubai Customs’ inspection teams, who detected irregularities in a shipment using advanced screening technology.
The discovery of these illicit substances within the cargo allowed authorities to neutralise a potential security threat before it could enter Dubai. In collaboration with enforcement agencies, including the K9 Unit, detection dogs confirmed the presence of narcotics, supporting initial findings. Legal actions were promptly initiated following security protocols.

Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, praised the professionalism and vigilance of Dubai Customs officers. Dr. Abdulla Mohammed Busenad, Director-General of Dubai Customs, commended the inspection teams for maintaining international security standards. Their work is crucial in protecting land, sea, and air borders from threats.
