Dubai Culture And Dubai Police Unite To Preserve Heritage Assets
The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has formalised a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dubai Police to bolster cooperation in the "Heritage Police – Al Asas" project. This initiative aims to secure historical neighbourhoods under Dubai Culture's jurisdiction, ensuring visitors enjoy rich cultural experiences through various initiatives and events.
The MoU highlights the commitment of both entities to uphold Dubai government principles by fostering inter-entity communication, sharing best practices, and supporting the emirate's objectives. The collaboration focuses on deploying Al Asas police in key areas such as Al Shindagha Historical Neighbourhood and Hatta Heritage Village.

Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs at Dubai Police, emphasised the importance of this partnership. He stated that the MoU aligns with government directives to promote integrated efforts towards strategic goals, including values, national identity, and cultural heritage.
"This MoU guarantees the achievement of wise leadership's aspirations and government directives in all aspects," said Major General Al Ghaithi. "This collaboration supports the emirate's efforts in launching creative initiatives that introduce the community and visitors to Dubai's rich cultural heritage."
Muna Faisal Algurg, CEO of the Cultural & Heritage Sector at Dubai Culture, reiterated the Authority’s dedication to enhancing cooperation with other government entities. She highlighted the significance of managing heritage sites and promoting Emirati heritage on a global scale.
"Heritage and historical sites are important landmarks that highlight our national identity," said Algurg. "Our collaboration with Dubai Police enhances the significance of the Heritage Police, enriching national events hosted by our facilities and providing visitors with a distinctive cultural experience."
