Dubai Culture And House Of Pianos Launch Piano Camp To Nurture Young Musical Talent In Dubai
The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority has unveiled the second edition of its Piano Camp, in collaboration with House of Pianos. This initiative aims to nurture young musical talent by providing focused piano training. The program is part of the Dubai Cultural Grant, aligning with the emirate's Quality of Life Strategy, and seeks to empower Emirati performers while enhancing the city's cultural scene.
Running from October 2025 to May 2026, the camp will select 50 children and teens aged 6 to 17, along with 10 young adults aged 18 and above. Participants will delve into both classical and Arabic piano music, gaining knowledge in music theory and history. The program includes practical sessions and masterclasses led by esteemed local musicians.

This edition introduces workshops on piano tuning and maintenance for those aged 14 and older. Long-term mentorship opportunities are available for participants interested in pursuing a professional music career. Additionally, field trips to prominent UAE institutions will facilitate knowledge exchange and foster connections within the cultural community.
Registration for Emirati musicians opens on 1 August 2025, closing on 15 September 2025. Application forms can be found at: https://houseofpianos-uae.com/piano-camp-2025/. An evaluation panel will review submissions, grouping successful candidates by age and skill level.
Shaima Rashed Al Suwaidi, CEO of the Arts, Design & Literature Sector at Dubai Culture, highlighted the Authority’s dedication to bolstering music as a key component of Dubai’s creative economy. She stated: "Through our diverse programs, we seek to unlock the sector’s potential and support sustained growth by nurturing a new wave of talent, who will contribute fresh perspectives and energy to Dubai’s vibrant arts scene."
She further emphasized: "Initiatives like the Piano Camp are central to our vision of building innovative platforms for youth and emerging artists. These offerings open doors for learning, artistic development, and mentorship. We remain dedicated to creating an environment that inspires young people to realize their ambitions, refine their craft, and make a lasting impact on the emirate’s cultural and creative industries—further establishing Dubai as a global center for culture, an incubator for creativity, and a thriving hub for talent."
Success of First Edition
The inaugural Piano Camp concluded in April 2025 with notable achievements. It provided 480 individual piano lessons alongside six masterclasses in performance and composition conducted by internationally acclaimed artists. Students showcased their skills in six concerts at Steinway Hall – Dubai.
Graduates also participated in the first Steinway Piano Competition GCC 2025 and performed at significant cultural events such as the Sikka Art & Design Festival and Art Dubai 2025. These experiences have paved the way for young musicians to gain recognition in prestigious platforms.
The initiative reflects Dubai Culture's ongoing efforts to cultivate artistic talent while reinforcing its status as a global cultural hub. By offering these opportunities, they aim to inspire future generations of musicians who will enrich Dubai's dynamic arts landscape.
