Dubai Culture Announces Exciting Line-up For The 4th Hatta Cultural Nights Programme In December 2024

Dubai Culture & Arts Authority has unveiled the fourth edition of Hatta Cultural Nights. This event offers visitors a mix of cultural and entertainment experiences in the Hatta region. It aims to highlight Hatta's historical, natural, and cultural aspects, enhancing its appeal as a tourist spot. The initiative supports the Hatta Master Development Plan by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Scheduled at the Hatta Heritage Village from 22nd December 2024 to 1st January 2025, the event includes heritage activities and artistic performances. Visitors can enjoy poetry evenings with local poets and traditional folklore shows. Specialised groups will present Al Harbiya, Al Ayala, and Al Azi performances. These events aim to immerse visitors in the rich culture of Hatta.

The programme also features live sessions with traditional instruments like the Rababa and Oud. Interactive drum performances, bubble shows, and balloon displays add to the entertainment. This blend of cultural and entertainment experiences is designed to offer something for everyone visiting Hatta during this period.

Visitors can participate in workshops on astronomy, Arabic calligraphy, and traditional crafts such as Talli embroidery, Sadu weaving, Burqa sewing, and palm frond weaving. Skilled artisans lead these workshops, providing insights into these crafts. A dedicated space for traditional children’s games is also available to enrich young visitors' experiences.

As part of Dubai Culture’s support for the Hatta Winter Festival under the Dubai Destinations campaign, a traditional market will be set up. This market will showcase creations by local families and entrepreneurs. It reflects their commitment to heritage while featuring innovative products from creative talents.

Mariam Dhain Al Tamimi, Acting Director of the Heritage Sites Department at Dubai Culture, highlighted the significance of Hatta Cultural Nights. She stated that it empowers Hatta's people and creative talents by promoting their projects while supporting economic activities. "Through Hatta Cultural Nights," she said, "Dubai Culture seeks to empower the people of Hatta."
