Dubai Culture Sets Global Benchmark With Four New ISO Certifications
The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has made a notable advancement in its quest for excellence by attaining multiple accreditations in four new International Organisation for Standardization (ISO) standards, underscoring its commitment to implementing international best practices within the culture and arts sector.
This achievement includes certifications in Business Continuity Management Systems (ISO 22301:2019) and Risk Management Systems (ISO 31000:2018), alongside accreditations in Collaborative Business Relationships Management Systems (ISO 44001:2017) and Governance Management Systems (ISO 37000:2021). Notably, Dubai Culture has distinguished itself as the first cultural institution worldwide to receive the ISO 37000:2021 certification, marking a significant milestone in its efforts to enhance governance and collaborative practices.

The successful acquisition of these ISO certifications was made possible through comprehensive audits conducted by Lloyds Registered Quality Assurance (LRQA), reflecting Dubai Culture's dedication to excellence and its role as a leading arts and cultural hub not just regionally, but globally.
Hala Badri, Director-General of Dubai Culture, emphasized the importance of these certifications as a testament to the Authority's achievements and its commitment to continuous improvement, sustainable excellence, and the implementation of quality systems across various administrative domains. She highlighted the strategic focus on partnership and crisis management, corporate governance, and fostering an inclusive work environment that enriches the local cultural and artistic landscape.
Rashed Aref Al Shaikh, Director of the Strategy and Corporate Excellence Department at Dubai Culture, pointed out the significant efforts made by the Authority to enhance organisational and administrative performance. By empowering its workforce and fostering a spirit of innovation, Dubai Culture aims to improve service quality, standardize administrative frameworks, and align them with strategic objectives, ensuring sustained positive outcomes across all levels of operation.
The Authority's achievements reflect its proactive approach to exploring opportunities, implementing best practices, and harnessing the fundamentals of sustainable excellence, setting a commendable example for cultural institutions globally.
