Dubai Courts Sworn In 35 Emirati Judges At Zabeel Palace Under Mohammed Bin Rashid
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum presided over the oath-taking of 35 newly appointed Emirati judges for Dubai Courts at a ceremony in Zabeel Palace. The event confirmed their formal entry to the bench and underlined Dubai’s continued focus on judicial capacity.
During the ceremony, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid wished the judges success in their roles and highlighted the weight of their responsibilities. His Highness stressed that their decisions must protect rights, respect the rule of law and reflect complete integrity and impartiality.
His Highness affirmed that an independent and neutral judiciary is essential for a stable society and reliable institutions. According to His Highness, such a system safeguards each individual’s dignity and rights, and supports a secure and cohesive community that can advance broad development goals across all sectors.
The gathering at Zabeel Palace brought together senior members of Dubai’s leadership who oversee key state functions linked to the Dubai Courts judiciary. H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended in capacities including First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Dubai Judicial Council.
Also present were H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, alongside H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The new judges expressed deep appreciation for Sheikh Mohammed’s guidance and the confidence placed in them, and pledged to serve with fairness and integrity. Senior judicial officials attended, including Counsellor Essam Issa Al Humaidan, Dr. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Judge Abdulqader Mousa Mohammed and Dr. Abdullah Saif Al Sabousi, underscoring institutional backing for the strengthened judiciary.
