The RTA's efforts align with Dubai's vision to become a global hub for finance and business. Al Tayer highlighted that these initiatives are part of the Dubai Commercial & Logistics Land Transport Strategy 2030. This strategy aims to double the sector's economic contribution to AED16.8 billion and increase technology use by 75% within its infrastructure.

The strategy also targets a 30% reduction in carbon emissions and a 10% improvement in operational efficiency. These goals reflect Dubai's commitment to sustainable development while boosting economic growth. Al Tayer noted that these efforts support Dubai's aim to be among the world's top three economic cities.

"The Commercial Transport Sector is a cornerstone of Dubai’s economic framework," Al Tayer explained. It plays a crucial role in advancing the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33). This sector ensures smooth goods flow and strengthens global supply chains, enhancing Dubai's competitiveness on the world stage.

Sector's Role in Economic Growth

The sector not only drives economic growth but also enhances Dubai’s global reputation. It fosters positive social impacts across various industries by ensuring efficient transport services. The RTA's initiatives have positioned Dubai as a leader in commercial transport innovation.
