Dubai Civil Aviation Authority Partners With Keeta Drones To Enhance Drone Delivery Safety
In a move to position Dubai as a leading center for civil aviation, the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) has entered into a strategic partnership with Keeta Drones. This partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to advance drone delivery services in the city. The MoU is centered on achieving unparalleled safety and security levels for drone operations in Dubai, ensuring compliance with both local and international standards.
This collaboration is part of a broader strategy by the DCAA to regulate drone activities within Dubai, enhancing the city's innovative transport solutions. It aligns with the emirate's goal of sustainable and forward-looking development across various societal sectors. By fostering a safe and regulated environment for drone operations, the DCAA is paving the way for the growth of the low-altitude aviation economy in Dubai.

The signing ceremony saw the participation of Mohammed Abdullah Lengawi, Director General of DCAA, and Dr. Yinian Mao, Chairman of Keeta Drones. Their joint efforts will focus on evaluating and approving zones for drone operations, scrutinizing infrastructure and airspace requirements, and ensuring safety and security protocols for drone deliveries across Dubai. This initiative underscores Dubai's commitment to becoming a hub for smart transportation technologies.
Lengawi expressed his enthusiasm about the MoU, stating, "This collaboration highlights the DCAA's dedication to implementing Dubai's leadership vision by enabling drone-based delivery and offering innovative infrastructure that allows companies to test their solutions within a safe and model environment. We are extremely focused on creating an attractive environment for such emerging technologies in aviation while ensuring adequacy of our regulatory frameworks that enhance safety and security while streamlining operational processes in coordination with various government entities."
Emphasizing the significance of this partnership, Dr. Yinian Mao remarked, "This partnership with DCAA marks a long-term collaboration between both parties. With DCAA's support, Keeta Drones will be able to expedite the expansion of its operations by establishing routes across Dubai, offering more services, and exploring diverse new initiatives. Throughout this process, Keeta Drones will adhere to the required safety standards and work jointly with the DCAA to transform Dubai into one of the most advanced cities for smart transportation."
The MoU also aims to fortify joint coordination to meet Dubai's airspace safety objectives effectively. Keeta Drones commits to operating within designated areas, adhering to DCAA regulations. The Authority will facilitate the company's communication with relevant government bodies to accelerate the creation of new drone flight paths.
