Dubai Charity Spotlights Humanitarian Efforts And Smart Solutions At DIHAD 2024
Dubai Charity is actively participating in the 20th edition of the Dubai International Humanitarian Aid and Development Conference and Exhibition (DIHAD 2024), taking place from 23rd to 25th April, under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. This event, a significant gathering in the humanitarian sector, is hosted at the Sheikh Rashid Hall in the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. As a golden sponsor, Dubai Charity's booth has become a focal point for visitors keen on exploring humanitarian, relief projects, and smart services.
From the onset of DIHAD 2024, the booth has attracted a diverse audience including officials, businessmen, media delegations, and representatives from charitable organizations worldwide. The charity's innovative approaches, particularly its ventures into the Metaverse and digital service offerings, have been highlighted through films and detailed explanations. These initiatives underscore Dubai Charity's commitment to integrating innovation and sustainability into its operations.
Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Dubai Charity, emphasized the organization's dedication to aligning with the UAE's strategic vision of fostering innovation as a sustainable work style and institutional culture. This approach not only enhances the UAE's global standing in humanitarian efforts but also supports charitable activities through inventive solutions.
The charity has introduced a range of digital services on its website, including options for donating cryptocurrencies and acquiring non-fungible tokens (NFTs). A notable innovation is the launch of smart donation kiosks in October 2022, designed to modernize and secure the donation process. These kiosks accept various payment methods such as Google Pay, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and cryptocurrencies, reflecting a shift towards digital transformation in charitable giving.
Statistics reveal the success of these initiatives; by the end of 2022 and early 2023, Dubai Charity received thousands of donations through its smart platforms. Specifically, 5734 donations were processed through smart kiosks, 2281 via smart links, and 7509 through the charity's website and smart application.
In addition to showcasing its achievements, Dubai Charity will host an "Innovation Foundations" workshop at DIHAD 2024. Scheduled for Thursday, 25th April, from 15:23 to 16:24 at Sheikh Rashid Hall, Platform H01, this workshop will be led by Dr. Mohammed Saeed, a strategic expert at Dubai Charity. The session aims to delve into the principles of innovation that drive the charity's work and its impact on humanitarian efforts.
This participation not only highlights Dubai Charity's innovative strides in humanitarian work but also aligns with the broader objectives of DIHAD 2024 to foster collaboration and advancement in global humanitarian efforts.
