Dubai's Most Noble Number Raises Dh38 Million To Mothers’ Education Endowment

The Most Noble Number charity auction, conducted in Dubai, successfully raised a substantial sum of Dh38.095 million. This significant amount is earmarked entirely for the Mothers’ Endowment campaign, an initiative spearheaded by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. The campaign's objective is to establish an AED1 billion endowment fund dedicated to supporting educational projects for millions across the globe.

The auction was a collaborative effort between the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), Emirates Auction, the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), etisalat by e&, and Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du). A total of 31 special numbers were auctioned off, including 10 RTA special plate numbers, ten du mobile phone numbers, and 11 etisalat by e& mobile phone numbers.

AED 38M Raised for Mothers  Fund

Proceeds from this event will significantly contribute to the Mothers’ Endowment campaign. This initiative aims to implement educational projects in underprivileged communities worldwide, in partnership with various humanitarian organisations. The goal is to equip millions of individuals with the necessary tools and skills for leading independent lives.

The auction witnessed substantial bids with RTA special plate numbers generating Dh29.025 million, etisalat by e& special numbers bringing in Dh4.135 million, and du special numbers raising Dh4.935 million. The event attracted leading businessmen and philanthropists, demonstrating a community-wide support for the noble cause of honouring mothers and aiding underprivileged communities through sustainable educational support.

Among the notable bids for RTA special plate numbers were Dh2.5 million for number (O74), Dh3 million for number (O51), and Dh4 million for number (V39), showcasing the high level of participation and generosity among the attendees.

The funds raised from auctioning etisalat by e& special numbers included a top bid of Dh2.875 million for number (0545555555), highlighting the unique appeal of these special numbers to contributors.

Similarly, du special numbers saw significant interest with a top bid of Dh3.2 million for number (0587777777), further emphasizing the success of the auction in generating funds for the Mothers’ Endowment campaign.

In addition to this auction, other Most Noble Numbers auctions are scheduled across the UAE, including an online auction by Abu Dhabi Police for 555 special plate numbers. These ongoing efforts underscore the widespread support for the Mothers’ Endowment campaign across various segments of society.

The campaign offers multiple donation channels including its website (Mothersfund.ae), a dedicated call centre via toll-free number (800 9999), bank transfers in UAE dirham to Emirates Islamic Bank, SMS donations for Etisalat by e& users, the DubaiNow app, and Dubai’s community contributions platform Jood (Jood.ae).

This collective endeavour not only honours mothers but also provides a lifeline to underprivileged communities through education, embodying a spirit of generosity and community support that is characteristic of the UAE’s philanthropic initiatives.
