Humanitarian Aid Reaches Mali And Niger Flood Victims Through Dubai Charity Association

Dubai Charity Association has swiftly provided relief to flood victims in Mali and Niger. The assistance included food packages, medical aid for malaria treatment, and hut construction. This support reached families in Bla, Ségou region of Mali, and Shentberdine, Tawa state of Niger.

The charity sent 500 food baskets to Mali, benefiting around 2,500 people in Bla. These baskets contained essentials like rice, pasta, oil, milk, and sugar. This provision aimed to ensure the affected families could sustain themselves for a month.

Aid for Mali and Niger Flood Victims

A medical convoy was also dispatched to Mali for four days. It treated 300 people for malaria and other illnesses such as typhoid, influenza, unknown fevers, vitamin deficiency, and various childhood diseases.

In Niger's Shentberdine village, 515 food baskets were distributed to 2,575 individuals. Additionally, 50 huts were constructed to provide shelter for 50 families affected by the floods.

The medical convoy in Niger treated 145 people for malaria and other health issues. Health materials were also distributed during this mission.

Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Dubai Charity Association, highlighted the organisation's commitment to aiding those in distress. He stated that their efforts reflect the UAE's leadership values of fraternity and humanitarian giving.

"The various charitable projects and relief operations carried out by Dubai Charity come out of its belief in the need to deliver the necessary support to brotherly and friendly peoples in times of distress; following the example of our wise leadership," said Al Suwaidi.

The recipient families expressed deep gratitude towards the UAE and Dubai Charity for their timely support. Their assistance has been crucial in helping these communities recover from the devastating floods.
