Dubai Chambers Signs Strategic Partnership With International Chamber Of Commerce To Boost Global Trade
Dubai Chambers has entered into a strategic partnership with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), which is the largest business organisation globally, representing 45 million companies in over 170 countries. This collaboration aims to boost cooperation to aid global business communities, focusing on trade digitalisation and enhancing financing access for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
The agreement involves developing Dubai Chambers’ Chamber Benchmarking Tool. This tool will support the ICC and its member chambers worldwide, increasing their positive impact on the business community. By sharing knowledge and expertise, the tool aims to enhance the value that global chambers provide to their respective sectors.

The partnership also seeks to promote collaboration in supporting global trade and SMEs. It will focus on areas such as dispute resolution, sustainability, climate action, the digital economy, and multilateral cooperation. Additionally, it aims to advance trade digitalisation following the ICC’s Digital Standards Initiative.
This agreement highlights Dubai's pivotal role as a major hub for international trade, linking markets and supply chains worldwide. It builds upon Dubai Chambers’ recent contributions to enhancing chamber capacities globally. Notably, they organised the 12th World Chambers Congress in Dubai in 2021 and developed the 'Chamber Model Innovation (CMI)' framework to foster innovation within global chambers.
Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, stated, "Our partnership with the ICC reflects our shared vision to empower businesses in the MENA region through innovation, digitalisation, and improved access to finance. We look forward to working together to drive sustainable economic growth and unlock new opportunities that will benefit the global business community."
Future Projects and Collaboration
The agreement lays a foundation for future projects led by Dubai Chambers in collaboration with the ICC. These initiatives aim to further strengthen chamber capacities worldwide and support sustainable economic growth.
John W.H. Denton AO, Secretary-General of the International Chamber of Commerce, remarked, "This agreement aims to build on our longstanding, successful relationship with Dubai Chambers to amplify and drive our pioneering work in key areas of work, from trade digitalisation to chamber empowerment."
This partnership signifies a commitment towards empowering businesses through innovation and improved financial access while fostering sustainable growth within global markets.
