Dubai Chambers Welcomes 19 Canadian Companies To Strengthen Digital Economy Partnerships

Dubai Chambers recently facilitated a roundtable discussion with representatives from 19 Canadian companies. This event, organised alongside the Consulate General of Canada in Dubai and Inovia Capital, highlighted Dubai's digital economy ecosystem. It aimed to present the extensive opportunities available for Canadian businesses across various forward-looking sectors.

The gathering included 52 participants from both Canadian and Dubai business communities. The Canadian delegation spanned diverse sectors such as AI, cybersecurity, satellite communications, quantum computing, health technology, research, data analytics, and venture capital. Discussions centred on enhancing collaboration between Canadian companies and Dubai across these industries.

Dubai Chambers Hosts Canadian Companies for Collaboration

Participants explored ways to expand business connections between Dubai and Canada. They emphasised the potential for leveraging complementary expertise in key industries to foster cooperation in innovation and advanced technologies. This approach could unlock new partnership opportunities.

Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, stated: "The growing economic relations between Dubai and Canada form a strategic foundation for advancing bilateral cooperation in priority areas, particularly within future-facing sectors and advanced technologies. Dubai is continuing to strengthen its position as a global hub and attracting Canadian companies seeking to expand internationally, supported by a pro-business environment and a world-class ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship."

The number of Canadian companies registered as active members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce saw an annual growth rate of approximately 30% during 2024. Additionally, 535 new Canadian firms joined in the first half of 2025, bringing the total to 4,434 by June's end. Consequently, Canada ranked tenth among new non-UAE companies joining the chamber during this period.

In June this year, Dubai International Chamber inaugurated its first North American international representative office in Toronto. This initiative aims to enhance trade and investment opportunities between the two regions.

Promotional Efforts in North America

Earlier in 2025, the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy conducted a promotional roadshow across Toronto, Mississauga, and Vancouver. The roadshow showcased opportunities at Expand North Star 2025—an event for startups and investors scheduled from October 12th–15th at Dubai Harbour.

This strategic engagement underscores the commitment to strengthening economic ties between Dubai and Canada. By fostering collaboration in innovative sectors, both regions can benefit from shared expertise and expanded market access.
