Dubai Chambers And China Machinery Industry Federation Strengthen Cooperation For Economic Growth
Dubai Chambers recently hosted a roundtable in Beijing with the China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF). The event aimed to attract companies focused on advanced technologies, aligning with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33). It also sought to enhance collaboration and support Chinese industrial firms' expansion into Dubai.
During the event, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Dubai Chambers and CMIF. This agreement was witnessed by Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, and Niansha Xu, Chairman of CMIF. The MoU aims to boost bilateral cooperation and strengthen ties between business communities in Dubai and China.

The MoU outlines plans for Dubai Chambers to offer comprehensive support to CMIF member companies. This support will help them establish and expand their operations in Dubai, leveraging the emirate's attractive growth opportunities. In return, CMIF will assist companies in Dubai in forming partnerships with counterparts in mainland China.
Lootah stated, "We are committed to strengthening the economic ties between Dubai and China and advancing bilateral cooperation in priority areas, particularly the industrial sector. This will open new opportunities for the private sector and contribute to sustainable economic growth. We remain dedicated to supporting Chinese industrial companies in capitalising on Dubai’s growth opportunities and unique competitive advantages as a leading global business hub."
The roundtable gathered officials from leading industrial associations and major Chinese firms across sectors like automotive, construction, machinery, agriculture, and water purification. Discussions centred on boosting trade and investment in these areas while exploring how Dubai's exhibitions can help Chinese manufacturers expand regionally and globally.
The event also highlighted strategic cooperation opportunities between Dubai Chambers and CMIF affiliates. These efforts aim to attract more Chinese industrial companies to establish a presence in the emirate. Participants reviewed Dubai's focus on future-facing sectors like artificial intelligence and robotics.
Expanding Global Reach
Dubai Chambers plays a crucial role in supporting both Chinese SMEs and major industrial players. By leveraging Dubai as a gateway to global markets, these businesses can expand their reach significantly. The collaboration also involves expanding cooperation in specialised trade exhibitions, business missions, and exchanging economic data.
This initiative underscores the commitment of both parties to foster stronger economic ties. By facilitating partnerships between businesses in both regions, they aim to create new opportunities for growth and development.
