Dubai Chamber Forms Mexican Business Council To Boost Bilateral Trade, Investment
Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three chambers under Dubai Chambers, has announced the formation of the Mexican Business Council. This initiative aims to enhance bilateral trade and investment opportunities and strengthen ties between business communities in Dubai and Mexico. By the end of Q1 2024, 108 Mexican companies were registered as active members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce.
The inaugural Annual General Meeting of the Mexican Business Council was recently held at Dubai Chambers’ headquarters. The meeting focused on key objectives such as strengthening economic relations between Dubai and Mexico and building mutually beneficial partnerships. Participants also discussed the scheduled programme of events for the upcoming months.

Maha Al Gargawi, Vice President of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers, stated, "We are committed to empowering Business Councils to contribute to increasing promising opportunities between the private sector in Dubai and business communities around the world. We aim to strengthen economic and investment partnerships across all sectors both locally and internationally as part of our drive to boost foreign trade and further strengthen Dubai's position as a leading global business destination."
Role of Business Councils
Business Councils under the Dubai Chamber of Commerce represent the interests of companies and investors from specific countries operating in Dubai. Each council collaborates with the chamber to promote sustainable growth in bilateral trade and investment between Dubai and the represented market.
Future Plans
The chamber is currently working to increase the number of Business Councils. This effort supports the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) by driving growth in foreign trade and aiding local companies in expanding into global markets.
The establishment of the Mexican Business Council reflects Dubai's growing appeal among Mexican companies and investors. It signifies a step towards fostering stronger economic ties and creating new opportunities for collaboration between Dubai and Mexico.
